What are EDM electrodes?
These are electrodes that are used in electrical discharge machining, also known as spark eroding or spark machining. The process involves using a controlled spark to erode metal.
We work with Ibiden Graphite BV to supply their range of high end isostatic graphite products. An electrical and thermal conductor, with outstanding temperature and corrosion resistance, Ibiden’s graphite makes for the perfect EDM electrode material.

Carbon Gouging Rods
Coidan Graphite Products supply Carbon gouging rods which are used for metal removal at fast rates with low power consumption. Generally used to remove welding defects, excess welds and foundry risers from cast products. Our carbon gouging rods are precisely machined and manufactured in state of the art facilities.
Pointed Copper-Coated Gouging Carbon Rods (D.C.)
Pointed carbon gouging rods are energy efficient and cost competitive, some operators prefer these rods due to the positive holding of a gouging rod in the electrode holder leading to less splatter in manual applications.
