EDM / Spark Erosion
Coidan Graphite Products represent Ibiden Graphite BV for their range of high end isostatic graphite products, Ibiden grades of graphite can easily be identified by their outstanding high temperature resistance, high purity and low gas-emissions qualities. IBIDEN, in response to a wide variety of industrial needs, is in the business of supplying a whole range of materials that put these superior qualities to work, from general use lubricants to the most technologically advanced products.
Unique Graphite Features
- Thermally stable
Graphite can be used at 3000°C in inert atmosphere, has high thermal shock resistance and increased strength at elevated temperatures.
- Chemically stable
Carbon and Graphite have good corrosion resistance, it can be used in most acid/alkaline environments.
- Electrical and Thermal Conductor
Graphite has good electrical and thermal conductivity.
- Low expansion coefficient:
Thermal expansion coefficient is low, dimensional stability at high temperatures is high and strength is not significantly reduced up to 2000°C.
- Light weight:
The true density of single crystal graphite is 2.26, but the apparent density is around 1.60 – 1.90 since regular graphite is around 15-30% porous
- Lubricating ability:
Due to soft molecular structure, lubricating property is great, enabling greaseless use at high and low temperatures.
